Over the years wine writing has lost its way as the old ‘grapes-vineyard-shopping list’ format has been rejected by switched-on newspaper editors who have either chopped wine articles or drastically reduced column inches.

It doesn’t have to be like that; there’s a great wine story out there and lots of different ways to tell it.

Linking wine and football, my ‘Footballers’ Wines’ column written for the Daily Telegraph with Television and Radio presenter Adrian Chiles, brought a new audience to wine, as did my wine and rugby column for the Telegraph during the Rugby World Cup.

My ‘Partners in Wine’ column, in association with Gordon Ramsay’s Tante Marie Culinary Academy for Surrey Advertiser newspapers, my column in TheGuide2Surrey and my wine pages in Foyer Magazine were also part of my fresh, entertaining, no nonsense approach to writing on wine for regional, online, national and international newspapers and magazines.

My monthly ‘Nobull Wine’ online column for snooth.com shares my recent
travels through the world’s vineyards with an international readership whilst
my ‘Wine Guy’ column for a small local magazine ‘has Surrey villages talking
about wine like never before’.

My ‘The Wine Game, Set and Match’ column for ‘From the Terrace’,
the magazine of Weybridge’s prestigious St. George’s Hill Lawn Tennis Club,
gives members an insight into wine that goes way beyond their restaurant
wine list.

My ‘Message in a Bottle’ column for Little Ship magazine is turning heads
whilst promoting the tradition of wine in the City of London… with a
difference!

We're always happy to publish your wonderful work. We really love your writing.
